Bring your friends to ITEN, and become the regional star
of a webinar presented to all the Americas!

For the grand finale of this year, ITEN invites you to be the presenter of its last 2014 webinar for all the Americas!

Participating is very easy: Invite your colleagues to join the ITEN virtual community of practice. Once they have done so, ask them to complete the form here, otherwise your friends will not be counted.

The ITEN teacher with more registered friends in the Community will be elected to tell his/her experience as a teacher in a webinar and will be awarded a certificate from ITEN-OAS.

Your colleagues should register in the Community by November 30th, 2014 to become part of this initiative.

The webinar will be held between December 8th and 12th, 2014.

More information here

Note 1: The chosen teacher will need access to a computer with internet, camera and microphone.

Note 2: In case there is a tie, the teacher with the most participation in the Community will be the winner.

I could talk on the early history of using the web in the college classroom and for agricultural extension in Illinois and in India. My lab at the University of Illinois started using Mosaic in late 1992--the first graphical browser that led to Netscape and Internet Explorer--and we supported many interesting projects over the next ten years. There are lessons to be learned like being cautious adopting 'bleeding edge' technologies.
