Manual for integrating HIV & AIDS education in school curricula - International Bureau of Education/UNESCO

The International Bureau of Education (IBE) set up a cross-cutting programme on HIV and AIDS in 2001 in response to the UNESCO Director-General's request for a scaled-up response to HIV and AIDS education. A Global Initiative on HIV and AIDS Prevention Education- EDUCAIDS- was launched by the radically enhance national HIV and AIDS prevention and mitigation efforts by helping governments to implement comprensive, nation-wide education programmes for young people.

This tool was developed by IBE/UNESCO with the goal to improve teaching and learning on HIV & AIDS in official basic education curricula by providing a set of tools, assembled in a manual, to support the development and adaptation of quality teaching and learning material for HIV & AIDS education, as well as teacher training.
