Jannell Chapina Smith
Miss Smith is a vibrant supporter of this nation’s youth. Believing every child has a talent, she passionately encourages all children to cultivate and master their abilities. She is also a poet and dramatist and currently is working on her book called “Inspired.”
She is a member of many youth organizations which allow her to not only inspire, but also be inspired by the youth of this nation. As one of the Activities Co-coordinators for the National Children’s Commission, she works along with a dynamic team that organizes programs to during ‘National children’s week’ which highlight the multi-faceted talents of students of all ages across this nation , based on a specific annual theme.
She is also a dynamic Language arts and Drama teacher at C.C. Sweeting Senior High School for the last 11 years. She is the founder and adviser for the schools Drama club, known as ‘Expressions of Excellence’, which is well known for its excellent performances in coral speaking, spoken word, acting, singing, rapping and dancing.
Miss Smith may appear small in stature measuring a meagre 4ft and 10.5 inches; however, she is a proud and mighty supporter of the youth of this nation. She believes every child is a gift— and was put on this earth with a specific, unique purpose. It is her pleasure to inspire them to reach their full potential.
