“Critical Thinking for Teachers” is a series of interactive radio programs and podcasts for teachers in rural areas of OAS member states. These audio programs strengthen teachers’ ability to teach critical thinking skills in mathematics, literacy, science, and citizenship education. Woven into an entertaining drama series, the participatory lessons feature short pauses that allow teachers to respond to questions, partake in group discussions, write plans for their classes, and more. Participants learn practical skills to apply in the classroom immediately. The primary audience is teachers with little Internet access who teach 11- to 14-year-olds, but any teacher can benefit and anyone can participate.

Hello everyone.
Was AWOL for a few days, Life happens sometimes :). Will try to get going again.
What did I miss?
Glenda,
I share your sentiments about the challenge of the process. I have found myself needing to be very systematic so that the connections are clear, but it is taking time and I find myself making adjustments along the way, particularly to the objectives.
I really appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this audio programme, because I think that this puts us in the same place as our students when we deliver a critical thinking based, lesson plan. I also was happy to note that the scientific method could be used when planning for my remedial students in the visualizing/verbalizing programme. One of the learning challenges that many of them have is formulating personal opinions/making predictions based on information that is given to them.
Cheers to this ITEN Audio Programme.
Hi Dan,
There are certain sections on the form that I am not sure how to fill. The different bank codes ,ect. Can you help or do I need to go to my bankers for this information?
my form would not allow me to fill it it in even when my computer's security was set at the medium setting. I went ahead and fill and sign in Adobe... is that ok?
Thank you Daniel, I received the form.
Dear Shonella,
Thank you for alerting me to not receiving a vendor form. Yes, this does relate to the training of five or more teachers; without the form, OAS cannot pay you the stipend for your completion of the program. The ITEN team will make sure you receive one. Sorry about the inconvenience.
Warm regards,
Dan
Dear Daniel,
Dear colleagues,
For those of you participating in the OAS ITEN/PAEC training opportunity, you should have received an email asking you to submit a 'vendor form'. No, you are not a vendor selling anything to the OAS, but this is the form used to make any payment. Please submit the form promptly so that the program is able to make a timely payment once you have submitted your documentation, as there is an end-of-year period during which payments cannot be made.
I am very happy to read the comments and recognize the appreciation you have for the audio program and the level to which you are engaging with the material. Your students are fortunate.
Warm regards,
Dan Pier
Episod 7. I am working on my lesson plan following the 5 critica thinking steps. Everything is connected, it is not easy to connect with the topic and learning objectives but I am almost there.
