“Critical Thinking for Teachers” is a series of interactive radio programs and podcasts for teachers in rural areas of OAS member states. These audio programs strengthen teachers’ ability to teach critical thinking skills in mathematics, literacy, science, and citizenship education. Woven into an entertaining drama series, the participatory lessons feature short pauses that allow teachers to respond to questions, partake in group discussions, write plans for their classes, and more. Participants learn practical skills to apply in the classroom immediately. The primary audience is teachers with little Internet access who teach 11- to 14-year-olds, but any teacher can benefit and anyone can participate.

Dear Stephanie and colleagues,
Thank you for pointing out this discrepancy. ITEN apologizes for any confusion this has caused. To clarify, June 30 is the administrative deadline for the program, which is why that date was first named. However, the technical team here at OAS felt that it would be advantageous for teachers to facilitate the program with their colleagues much closer to the time that they themselves participated. Therefore, we named the earlier deadline. Considering these factors, here is the amended statement of deadline:
Reports regarding the completion of the training of five or more colleagues are due March 1st, 2017. Participants needing additional time may request it, and OAS will make a determination on a case-by-case basis, with June 30, 2017, being the latest possible date for submission.
Certificates of completion will be shared with participants once the report is received and approved. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing your reports.
Warm regards,
Dan
Hello again,
In one of the earlier email I received, it stated that I have to complete the training of the 5 or more teachers by June 30. However, I realized that in one of Daniel's comments, he mentioned March 1st. Can someone kindly verify which is the correct date so I can plan accordingly.
Many thanks!
Hi Daniel,
The teachers whom I have invited to the training would like to know if they would be getting a certificate at the end of the training? They are interested in doing the program, but this is an important aspect that they want to know of. Thanks in advance for your response.
Best Regards,
SM
Wow!
Dear All, especially Daniel I believe,
I've certainly been MIA. My life was spinning top in mud as soon as I started the programme and I've been unable to participate as I would have liked to. I've read some comments and share many of your sentiments.
I too appreciate what this programme is offering. It has opened my eyes in many ways.
However, I do have a concern as I didn't receive a 'Vendor For'. I did a search for the attachment, but I received nothing.
Can I get some help with this please Daniel!!!
Hi Daniel,
I have some questions in relation to the training of the 5 or more teachers.
1. Would these teachers whom I will be training, be given a certificate at the end of the program as we who are doing it now?
2. Are the requirements for the certificate for them the same as us, to write a plan, be observed and do a report?
Some of the teachers whom I have invited want to know. these answers. Please guide me accordingly so that I can respond to them. Thank you.
Daniel,
I mentioned the audio program to a colleague in St. Vincent and she is interested in the program. Can I add her and her educational center with my other groups for follow up?
Gale
Daniel,
I received another email saying that adobe is not acceptable. It must be in word format.
Gale
Dear Gale,
Thank you for alerting us to the problem with the Word form. At least one participant solved this problem by filling and signing the form in Adobe, which is perfectly acceptable. I will inquire as to whether there are other possible solutions and post here in a few hours.
Dan
Dear Imogene,
I am sorry that you did not receive a vendor form previously. I received your email indicating perhaps the problem is with an email address; we will send you the form to the new email you specified within the next few hours. Please fill it out and return it as quickly as possible so that we can process your payment when you have submitted your work.
Warm regards,
Dan Pier
I have not received a vendor form where I have to include bank information. Where can I find one?
