In this post, we will be looking at integrating tablet devices into your teaching. The focus will be on how tablet devices can be integrated into your classroom teaching for maximum effectiveness. The video below shows how tablets can be integrated into teaching primary mathematics.

This teacher's use of tablets for teaching fractions was successful because she adopted a blended classroom instructional model called, "station rotation". A blended classroom means a classroom which includes the use of ICT for teaching and learning.

By now you might be asking yourself,"What is station rotation?" This is an excellent question. Instead of giving you my own explanation, in the video below, another teacher explains in detail what is meant by "station rotation". You can modify or adapt the "station rotation model" to suit your school, your students and the teaching level at which you work. One thing that should remain constant, is that you should include technology in at least one of your stations.

The station rotation instructional model can also be designed with one station consisting of a 'cluster' of laptops or desktop computers.
