I joined this group because I believe I can share my knowledge and also get help in understanding new areas that develop as we move learning and teaching to a deeper space in the 21st Century towards the 22nd.

Hello Alumni,
How are you? What have we done new since the new year has began. Let me hope you are getting the opportunity to putting into practice what you have learnt.
I am asking anyone to educate me on how to embed a video into a PowerPoint prevention as well as to add links to a web page. I was shown sometimes ago but I forget. This really goes to show that what we do not use we will lose.

I am so thankful for the opportunity that I had to be part of such a motivating course. I have learnt so much. It is great to know that we can keep in touch at anytime to share and give tips. 

The course "Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers With Web 2.0 Tools for the 21st Century" provided a wide range of resources and tools that I can use in my classroom as well as share with colleagues. They were all so great. However in choosing one, Wiki is the way to go. I plan on starting small then expand with wiki in the classroom. I believe that it is a tool which all teachers should get to know and utilize. I know that it will encourage my students to work, create, share and motivate others. 

I also intend to incorporate some of the other tools that was presented. I hope to see a change in students work ethics.

The course “Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers with Web 2.0 Tools and 21st Century Skills" has definitely reenergised me to continue to advocate for greater utility of ICT in the curriculum and by extension in the classroom. My classes are now motivated to want to work. There is a new narrative in the classroom and that is one where students are “active” discussion in their participation in project based learning and what I have recently introduced paperless homework and paperless holiday homework. As I have mentioned in the course webpage wikis, kidblog, google docs, Wallwisher and Storybird will be integral in my teaching instruction.

As a participant in the " Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers with Web 2.0 Tools and 21st Century Skills" Course, I am so delighted to be apart of such a great organization.

I plan to use everything that I learned in the course to better the learning experiences of my students and to assist my colleagues in doing the same.

" Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers with Web 2.0 Tools and 21st Century Skills" has been an excellent course.

It's hard to single out anyone one topic, but if I'm required to do so, I'll agree that the webinar by Kathy Shrock on the use of IPad to teach. It shows all the possibilities of the apps on an I Pad and the many areas that can be covered using that one technology. I'm particularly interested in that as I have keen interested in Special education and I have seen where this can advance the students with special needs in the caribbean classrooms.

The use of wiki and skype in the classroom will provide greater coverage for the average primary school child if, teachers are exposed to this platform and be given the opportunities to take this course.

I think the Ministry of Education in Jamaica should take advantage of this course and invest in it for all future teachers and present teachers as inservice training and professional development. 

I sincerely hope this course can be repeated for the benefit of teacher who wish to take it to promote the kind of changes we speak about but scared to do because we do not know what it will look like.
