Episode 5

Hi All,

Wow! the episodes are getting more and more interesting, it is like I am relearning everything about critical thinking and so becoming more of a great critical thinker. Episode 5 spoke about the use of scientific method but it is not new to me I was taught to use the scientific method in my science class some years ago and it was a great critical thinking method. However, I totally forgot about it and was not thinking that this method could be used in other subject area until after I listened to audio 5. Using the scientific method is way of promoting critical thinking in the classroom. I found this method to be very practical and useful for students of the 21st century, because it allow them to think of their own problem, hypothesise, test their hypothesis, interpret the data then form their conclusion. What better way can our students become critical thinkers than through the use of the scientific method. I love it! and will definitely be using this method in my measurement class on Monday.

Great post Fayan, episode 5 has enlightened me on how to make my lessons more of an investigation than just solving a simple real world problems in the classroom.  I will definitely utilize the scientific method in my life and my classroom.

I too found episode 5 very educational, this form of critical thinking method would suit my class as my student as special abilities, they function below their  average age level . However in using this  method it will promote a different level on how they think  critically and analyse daily scenarios .
