I am not a technology whiz and expected it to be difficult to learn. With games like the one featured in the video (there are several available; many require paid subscriptions for the full game but allow free use of the first series of levels), I have realized it is actually quite easy. The bases of programming are logical and sequential thinking as well as problem solving. The games build those skills slowly, adding complexity with each skill mastered.
I have not yet moved on to programming my own app or game, so I cannot comment on how easy it is to transfer the skills learned in the games, but supporters of teaching coding (and there are many) indicate that the games and exercises lay an excellent foundation for learning programming.
