Seeking Secondary Education Specialist for Education Project in Equatorial Guinea

Based in Equatorial Guinea, the secondary education specialist will provide technical leadership and oversight to the implementation of activities in lower secondary education (7th to 10th grades) focusing on  improving students’ academic and work-related competencies.

Essential job functions of the specialist will be:

The specialist will provide technical assistance to a team of local educators working to improve and strengthen lower secondary education in Equatorial Guinea. The specialist will actively participate in a needs assessment for secondary education and be cognizant of how to measure impact in student learning as part of monitoring and evaluation of the project.  The specialist must have experience developing academic and employability competencies for secondary education and be familiar with strategies for sustainability of these interventions providing practical examples on how to institutionalize the methodology within the Ministry of Education and national Teacher College.

Fluency in Spanish is required. The ideal candidate would be bilingual: Spanish / English.  The specialist must have at least 10 years of education and school experience working on education projects focused on secondary schools in emerging countries in Africa and/or Latin America.
