Dr. Cynthia Eve Aird is the President and Principal of Sacred Heart College in San Ignacio, Cayo. Prior to working at SHC, she worked for 18 years in tertiary education as a Teacher Educator at the University of Belize and at Galen University. She has served as Chair of the Association of Tertiary Level Institutions in Belize (ATLIB) for 3 terms, and Co-Chair of the Consortium on Belize Education Cooperation (COBEC). Dr. Aird holds a M.Ed. in Secondary English Education from the University of New Brunswick, Canada where she was a Canadian Commonwealth Scholar, and a Ph.D. Curriculum, Instruction and Administration with a minor in Higher Education from Boston College where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
