I had the honor of serving six years as a teacher in the United States, Chile, and Costa Rica. I have also worked with ministries of education, school leaders, teachers, and others in several countries (Guyana, Haiti, El Salvador, Nigeria, Uganda) to improve systems of teacher professional development, create teaching materials (including Interactive Radio Instruction programs), and implement communications campaigns on education. I learn every day from my colleagues at the OAS and from the teachers and other professionals with whom we collaborate in ITEN.
