October 5 is the World Teachers’ Day!

Today, ITEN would like to congratulate all of you: Teachers of the Americas! This is a very special month where we have the opportunity to remind the world of the importance of the teaching profession, and the positive impact it has in the lives of our students and communities. After all, you are the leaders shaping the future leaders of our region!

And to strengthen the teaching profession even further, we invite you to share your strategies in the promotion of student leadership in the classroom in this special forum created to celebrate World Teachers' Day!

    I try to ensure that I engage students in collaborative learning and group work. It is in these forums that students take charge and ownership of their learning. I'm often amazed at the output of students when they are allowed to use their creativity.
