“How Can Research on the Brain Inform Education?”

Presenter: Ms. Dina Rosen, Ph.D.

is Assistant Professor of Education and Coordinator of the Early Childhood Education Undergraduate Program at Kean University. Dr. Rosen has ten plus years teaching experience and served as director of technology of a K-8 school. She has a Master's degree in Special Education from Wagner College and obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Technology from the New York University, both in the U.S. Her primary research interests include brain-based teaching practices for digital age learning, social networking in early childhood years, and STEM education. Dr. Rosen has published many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and has appeared in important research journals. Content: Brain research provides rich possibilities for education. This session will explore exciting discoveries in neuroscience and cognitive psychology that present new ways of thinking about the brain - the human neurological structure and the emotions that contribute to learning.
